People are often surprised that the quality is even apparent when they examine the construction detail from the hidden back side of the mantel.

Cabinet makers and contractor shake their heads and admit they can not buy the materials and build this mantel for as little as we sell it for. It is for this reason that most builder use scrap trim to build their mantels and just paint it. Instead of a center piece of furniture it is just an extension of the home's trim.

The beautifully hand crafted details of the Pearl Auburn Fireplace Shelf is made from select tight grain Asian Choi hardwood and veneer that works and finishes nearly identical to White Oak. Available unfinished and #70 Cherry Distressed. the Mantel Shelf allows ease of painting or staining any color with very little additional sanding and prep work. It is available in 50 inch interior width.
